The Punjab government announced a new rule on Saturday. Now, schools in the province will have two holidays every week.
From August 15, all schools in Punjab will have holidays on both Saturdays and Sundays. This was announced by the Department of School Education Punjab.
The new rule is made to help teachers have less work and a better schedule. According to the notice, schools with one shift will have classes from Monday to Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
New School Timings for Students by Punjab Government.
Single Shift Schools.
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Double Shift/Afternoon Schools.
- Monday to Thursday.
Morning Shift: 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM to 5:30 PM
- Friday.
Morning Shift: 8:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
New Work Hours for Teachers.
Single Shift Schools:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Double Shift/Afternoon Schools:
- Monday to Thursday.
Afternoon Shift: 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM
- Friday
Morning Shift: 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
Alternate Saturdays: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
For training purpose, Saturday will be alternatively on for teachers.
Means in one week, Saturday will be working for teachers, and in next week, Saturday will be off
