KHDA advisory gives schools flexibility due to changing weather conditions.
Dubai: Private schools, nurseries, and universities in Dubai are advised to continue with online learning on Tuesday, February 13, following the guidance from the UAE Ministry of Education, due to possible weather effects.
Dubai's education regulator, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), shared this information in a post on X.
On account of prevailing weather conditions, we ask all Dubai private schools, nurseries, and universities to be flexible and continue providing the option of distance learning on Tuesday, Feb 13. Stay safe ☂️

Sharjah extends remote learning in private schools.
The Sharjah Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team (SECDMT), along with the Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA), has announced that remote learning will continue for all private schools in the Emirate until Tuesday, February 13.
The team stressed that the decision is made to keep students and teachers safe during the current bad weather affecting the country.
Earlier, all Dubai government workers were also given the choice to work from home on Tuesday, February 13. This rule came from Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
