Monash University was started in 1958 and is the second oldest university in the state of Victoria, Australia. It's the largest university in the country. The university got its name from Sir John Monash, who was an engineer, military leader, and public administrator.
Monash University is part of the Group of Eight, which includes Australia's top eight research universities.
