Instead of TOEFL, they'll use Duolingo English Test in 2025
The people who help students study in the United States said they will do the language test differently for the 2025 Fulbright Scholarship Program.
Before, students had to do a test called TOEFL to prove they knew English. Now, they'll need to pass a test called Duolingo English Test instead. The Fulbright Scholarship Program is a special chance for Pakistani students given by the U.S. government. It helps with school fees, books, plane tickets, money for living, and health insurance.
Any Pakistani who is good at studies and lives in Pakistan can still apply. They should want to come back and help Pakistan. Girls, people who need extra help because of a disability, and those from certain places like Balochistan, Northern Sindh, Southern Punjab, KP, AJK, and GB are especially encouraged to apply.
To join the Master's program, you need a four-year Bachelor's degree or both Bachelor's and Master's degrees that add up to 16 years of learning from a good university. For the Ph.D. program, you can apply if you have a Master's, M.Phil, or something like that which equals at least 18 years of learning.
To apply, you need to fill in a form and get three letters from people who know you. You also need a GRE score paper and papers that show what you learned in school. It's better if the Higher Education Commission approves your papers, but it's okay if the school who gave you the papers approves them too.
If you're qualified, you can apply for the 2025 Fulbright Scholarship Program on USEFP's website. The last day to apply is February 28, 2024.
