In Islamabad, something big happened in learning and technology! The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan and the big company Microsoft decided to work together again. They signed a special agreement called the Education Transformation Agreement (ETA). This agreement shows they're serious about making big changes in how technology is used for education in Pakistan.
During the event, they started a bunch of cool things to help students be more creative. They began the Imagine Cup competition, Founders Hub, and AI Skilling programs. These are places where students can share their awesome ideas and start their own businesses. A really important person, Hassan Nasir Jamy, who works for the Ministry of Information Technology & Telecommunication, was there too!
Jibran Jamshad, who works at Microsoft, talked about how important this teamwork is. He said, "Right now, with AI being a big deal, we're about to change education a lot. Working together with HEC using the ETA shows how much we care about helping young people learn new things they'll need in the future.
The event started with Dr. Zia Ul Qayyum, who leads HEC, giving a really nice speech. He talked about how cool the Founders Hub & AI Skilling programs are and how they're going to make education and technology even better by working together.
Hassan Nasir Jamy talked about how important technology and AI are right now. He mentioned, "Using IT and AI isn't just something we can choose to do or not do, it's really important for us." It helps us move forward and discover new amazing things, making our future full of great ideas, doing things better, and lots of chances for everyone.
The most important part of the event was when they officially signed the ETA. This is a big step in making education better in Pakistan. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, who leads HEC, was really excited about working with Microsoft. He mentioned, "Teaming up with Microsoft means we promise to use technology to make learning more fun and help kids come up with new ideas." This friendship will make learning more fun and flexible for all our students.
