Books that should be free are being sold to scrap dealers in Sindh.

The Education Department is checking why free books from the Sindh Text Board are being sold to scrap dealers in Badin District.

The books that were supposed to be for kids in government schools were sold to scrap dealers in Golarchi Tehsil, Badin District.

Lots of people saw a video showing free Sindh Text Board books being sold to scrap dealers. The people in charge quickly did something about it.

They took the books away and are looking into who sold them without permission. This has happened before, where books for kids in government schools were sold to scrap dealers.

Last year, people said hundreds of these books were sold to scrap dealers. But the team that checked said the Sindh Education Department officials didn't do anything wrong.

The report said the books weren't from the Sindh Textbook Board (STBB) but from private publishers.

Earlier this year, people found out that lots of expensive laptops bought in 2017 for the Sindh School Education Department were stolen in a big corruption case.

Secretary of School Education, Ghulam Akbar Leghari, saw this problem and made a team of four people to check what happened.
