A collective notification has been released by all educational boards outlining the implementation of a new grading approach. The adoption of this grading system is set to take effect for 9th and 11th-grade classes starting from the Annual Examinations in 2023, and for 10th and 12th-grade classes beginning with the Annual Examinations in 2024. Initially, the results will encompass absolute marks, grades, and GPA for each student. In due course, as of the Annual Examination in 2025, results will be conveyed exclusively through Grades, GPA, and Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA).

Computation Of GPA In The Grading System For Board Examinations

The online transcript and result card will now incorporate the recently implemented GPA-based grading system. This new educational grading standard has now been universally adopted by all educational boards in Pakistan. The fresh system will be effective for 9th-grade and 1st-year students starting in 2023, and for 10th-grade and 2nd-year students beginning in 2024. Secondary School Certificate (SSC - I) 1st Annual Board Examination 2023 :

• The 9th class board examination was held in March/April 2023.
• The announcement of the result is scheduled between August 10-15, 2023.
• A minimum of 40% marks is required to pass each subject. Students obtaining lower marks will receive a U grade (Unsatisfactory / previously known as FAIL). Additionally, your grades will be indicated for each subject.
• The result card/transcript will include subject-wise marks, grades, and GPA. The grading system will now replace the marks system, as already communicated by the educational boards.

• All inquiries regarding the candidates' result should be directed to the Controller Examination of the board.
• Candidates who wish to apply for re-checking of their paper(s) can do so online through the BISE website (https://www.bisemalakand.edu.pk/) within 15 days after the result declaration.
• A student who scores below 40% marks in one or more subjects or is absent in the Part-I Examination (if not appearing in the class 10th Examination) may be readmitted in Part-I with a change or in the same combination of subjects/group in any other or the same educational institute / high school.
